Display Showing Partial Digits
WHAT DOES THIS LOOK LIKE?
If your scale’s display is only showing partial digits, it may appear that a certain side of the screen is no longer operating. Or it may appear as if a singular portion of the display is out of operation. If the display on your scale is not providing the entire reading, then there is an issue with your scale that may need to be resolved through a warranty claim.
WHAT CAUSES PARTIAL DIGITS?
When a display is only showing partial digits, it is usually caused by a wire between the scale’s display and microprocessor becoming slightly ajar or dislodged. This typically occurs after a scale has been mishandled, dropped, or experienced some form of an abrasive vibration. Occasionally a display wire can become dislodged following the disassembly of the scale’s body. If you’re experiencing partial display digits following reassembly, please ensure that you have reassembled the scale to the manufacturer’s exact specifications.
SOLUTIONS FOR PARTIAL DIGITS
Often this can be fixed by gently pressing down on the LCD screen until the body of the unit is firmly reconnected. If the error cannot be fixed without dissembling the scale, please visit our Warranty page for more information on replacing your scale.
