Using The Auto-Off Feature

What Is Auto-Off?

Auto-Off is a feature that will power off the scale if it remains inactive for a period of time – usually 30 – 120 seconds. The Auto-Off feature is provided to conserve battery power and extend the life of your scale.

Programmable/Adjustable Auto-Off Settings

Some scales have a Programmable or Adjustable Auto-Off settings. This allows the user to adjust the amount of time the scale is inactive before Auto-Off powers it off.

Directions to adjust the Auto-Off time will vary for each scale model that has this option available. Please check your scale’s manual to find out more specific instructions.

Enabling/Disabling Auto-Off

Certain scales have a feature to enable or disable the Auto-Off feature. A disabled Auto-Off will allow the scale to rest inactive for an indefinite amount of time. Although this feature is useful for certain commercial applications, we recommend leaving Auto-Off enabled to avoid wasting battery power or damaging components.

Directions to disable the Auto-Off feature will vary for each scale model. Please check your scale’s manual to find out more specific instructions. If you have disabled Auto-Off and wish to enable it again, please follow the same instructions used to disable the feature in your scale’s manual.
